CommitZero CLI

Zero-config git pre-commit hook that prevents hardcoded secrets, .env leaks, and bloated binaries.

Target Audience: Full-stack engineers, DevOps, security-conscious dev teams
The Headache

Every developer has done it at least once:

•Accidentally committed .env.local with AWS or Stripe secret keys
•Staged a 50MB SQLite database or CSV test file
•Pushed an internal API test token to a public GitHub repo

Traditional pre-commit frameworks like Husky require node, python, or complex yaml configurations that break across team machines.

The Proposed Fix

A single zero-dependency binary written in Rust:

•commitzero init installs in 1 second
•Scans entropy to detect API keys, private keys, and high-risk strings in <5ms before git commit runs
•Blocks large binary files and unstaged secret files
•100% offline, zero network requests
Business Model & Pricing

Free and open source for solo developers. $8/developer/month for teams wanting shared compliance audit rules.
