DeskGlow Ambient

Minimalist solid-walnut pomodoro desk timer with silent, breathing ambient light cues.

Target Audience: Minimalist desk enthusiasts, programmers, writers, and people with ADHD
The Headache

Software pomodoro timers live in your browser tab or phone. Every time you glance at your phone to check how much focus time is left, you see a WhatsApp notification, open Twitter, and lose 20 minutes of deep flow.

Existing physical timers are either ugly plastic kitchen gadgets or noisy ticking alarms that jar you out of focus when you're in the middle of a complex thought.

The Proposed Fix

DeskGlow is a weighted solid walnut desktop cylinder with zero screens and zero beeps:

•Ambient Breathing Light: An understated warm golden ring on the underside breathes gently during deep work, and softly transitions to cool ambient slate when break time arrives.
•Tactile Rotation: Twist the aluminum dial to set 25, 45, or 60 minute focus blocks.
•USB-C & Bluetooth: Syncs with your Mac/PC to automatically toggle Do Not Disturb while active.
Business Model & Pricing

Kickstarter pledge at $59, standard retail at $69. CNC machined walnut and matte anodized aluminum casing.

Make sure you include a tactile click on the rotation dial! That mechanical satisfying haptic feedback makes all the difference on premium desk gear.

As someone with severe ADHD, phone timers are a death sentence for productivity. A screen-free physical light cue on my desk is exactly what I've been looking for. Take my money!
